The "Down" Game

There is a game in life, called “Down.”  If you play it, you will lose.

I don’t play the “Down” game. 

When I am told, I will lose, I say, I will win!

When I am told I can’t succeed, I say, I will.  

If I am told to stop! I proceed, I persevere!

When I am confronted with difficulties, I endure.

I won’t play this game of control!

I don't back down, and I don't stand down.

I won’t bow down, for anyone.

I won’t play the “Down” game!

I am prepared to win, and not for shame.

*The way out of any bad situation is to never give up.

Sometimes life seems so unfair.
There are times we ask, Why?
Lord, I do know that your love is forever.
So, when you seem so all alone_
Just remember, that God answers prayer.

The answer lies in your heart, and it lies within your soul.
So, whenever you feel the need to ask, Why?
Just remember, that God answers prayer.

Our God, answers prayer, and he knows your every need.
He understands your feelings, and he knows all your needs.
So, whenever you feel_
feel like giving up sometimes,
and you feel like your back is against the wall, there's just no way out.

Just remember, our God answers prayer, and he knows your every need.

This is an S.O.S to God (prayer)

Dear God,
This is an S.O.S call to you. This is another day I've awaken to find a heavier burden to bear.
I realize this burden is too heavy for me to bear, so I come to you in so much pain and shame.

Lord please answer this prayer.

My enemies oppress me daily, they criticize me Lord, and scandalize my name. Now, they seek to destroy me.

Lord, I have nowhere to run, and no place to hide.
I know that jealousy, hate, and wrong doings have made me a prisoner and a slave to sin.
They brought me here to this lonely and fearful place, and there is no way out for me.

I heard about a man, named Jesus, who died for me. And that the blood from his wounds, and the pain in his body, and the shame, and suffering he endured on the cross for me, was a sacrificial offering for all.

Jesus, Jesus, God, please show me your mercy Lord, show me your mercy Lord, show me your grace Lord.

Father, please let the blood that Jesus shed clean my soul, and let it free me from this prison.
Father, please remove this burden, and defend me against my enemies, that seek after my soul.
They seek to destroy me Lord. Please answer this S.O.S call.

Jesus, I thank you for the blood, that you shed for me. I can feel your love all around me.
In my heart, I know that you are here.
And I know that your angels are watching over me.

I thank you Jesus, for sacrificing your life for all.
And God, I thank you, for answering my S.O.S call.
Amen.

Musical Extravaganza!

           

                             

My Family enjoys music, and using our talents to perform . We like shopping, playing games and lots of good food! Being that we have a long history of coming together and having a good time, we decided to add more. So we added fashion, and talent shows with prizes, door prizes, and products for sell.

This is an event that we extends over two days. Our first event was in 2005 sponsored by Barrier's Books & Associates.

These events give our young and older family members and friends the opportunity to perfect their talents and skills in art, cooking, dancing, gymnastics, music, singing, mastering their skill with musical instruments, writing and many more talents and skills we see blossoming at each of our events.

Don’t Be Afraid of Failure Just Do It!

The Late Singer, written by Willliam Carlos Williams, will cause one to take pause, and consider their own work. There are many reasons why people like William Carlos delay their work or put their career or talents on hold. Some are afraid to proceed because of what they feel others might say, or they are fearful of failure. Henry Van Dyke gives an excellent analogy, (the woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best). I believe that God has given every person one or more talents. It is up to each individual to use the skill they have been given to enhance their work. My goal has always been to proceed with prayer and not to expect failure. Whatever you have in mind to do, don't be afraid of failure, just do it!

The Late Singer

Here it is spring again

and I still a young man!

I am late at my singing.

The sparrow with the black rain on his breast

has been at his cadenzas for two weeks past:

The grass by the back door
