An Evil Tongue:

Whatever an individual is thinking, it will eventually be revealed. We have been presented information on “The tongue” in several writings which I have posted in previous days. Today, we will discuss the harmful things spoken words can cause or contribute to disastrous outcomes to others. They can destroy relationships or cause stress, and in some situations cause depression and suicide; and destroy a person’s character.

Hear what the writer of the book of “James” says:

"But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work."

All the excuses such individuals might try to make to present themselves as  “Just teasing” or didn’t mean to hurt anyone by the things they said or did, that caused harm, is inexcusable. The truth is, such behavior is designed to have fun at the suffering of another person’s pain. It is another form of bullying. This kind of behavior is deemed evil for anyone to do.

Never Tell Anyone Something You don’t Want Repeated

If you confide in someone and ask them not to tell anyone what you told them, you have made a big mistake. Never tell anyone anything that you don’t want repeated. Otherwise, you would be better off telling them to publish it. The buddy system is at work here:
The person you gave the information to in confidence, repeated it to someone who they told not to tell and so traveled your information to friends, telling friends not to tell. Now, lots of people know what you didn’t want them to know.

Subject: The tongue
Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!  And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
James 3: 5, 6 (K.J.V)

Subject: The Tongue (cont.)
For every kind of beasts, and of birds and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:
But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
Therewith bless  we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.
James 3:7-10 (K.J.V)

Subject: The Tongue (cont.)
Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessings and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?
Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries?
either a vine,  figs? So can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.
Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you?
let him show out of good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
James 3:11-13 (K.J.V)

Another Chance by Singer and Songwriter Ellen J. Barrier

God has given each of us another chance.
It is not because of our age, or who we are, nor where we live.
Because of God’s precious love, he has extended his grace to us.
The purpose is to improve our behavior toward God:
and toward our sisters and brothers regardless, of their age, or who they are, nor where they live.

As I stand, looking out over the creation of this world, I can see God's glory.
In everything I see, I see the beauty of his glory, that lets me know, he's given me another chance.

He's given me another chance, and I know that his love is all around me, cause I truly believe that he loves me.
In everything I do, his blessings are all around me, that lets me know that God loves me.

God gives chances to one and all, cause he gave me so many chances, that lets me know that he loves me.

Because in everything that I do, his blessings are all around me, that lets me know that God loves me.

I don't know what tomorrow will bring. It may bring sun, maybe rain for me, still I know that God has given me another chance, and I know that he loves me.
Because in everything that I do, his blessings are all around me, that lets me know that God loves me.

As I move ahead, I don't know what I'll face, but, that's alright, cause I know that God truly loves me.
He's given me another chance, and I know that he loves me.
Because in everything that I do, his blessings are all around me.
That lets me know that, God loves me.

These are the Moments in Everyone's Life

ISBN: 978-0-9794043-2-0

There comes a  moment in time in the life of everyone, that something will occur that is too much of a burden to carry. These are the moments when we seek a power that is beyond what any human can provide. Regardless of who we are, or what status we hold, no one is exempt.

In times of a serious sickness, tragedy or loss, we each has a desire and need to be comforted in our whole being, in a way which medicine cannot accomplish. And neither can it be provided by any physical means.

The spiritual being, understands that it has a creator. Therefore, in times of distress, it automatic seeks the comfort of its creator. In the book of Job, it is stated by the writer himself, who was terminally ill, "The spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life." In his moment of desperation, his deepest desire was to hear from God. And he sought him for comfort.

The Words of Job:
Even today is my complaint bitter, my stroke is heavier than my groaning.
Oh that I knew where I might find him! that I might come even to his seat!
I would order my cause before him, and fill my mouth with arguments.
I would know the words which he would answer me, and understand what he would say to me.

Will he plead against me with his great Power?
No, but he would put strength in me.

I Want to Feel Your Power Today is a cry to God, when one is in desperate need to hear from him. I have been in desperate need to hear from God, many times. I was sitting at my keyboard, one day, and needing very much to hear from him. What you hear, is unedited.

An S.O.S Call to God (song)

Ellen J. Barrier

From the Album: Another Chance
(An S.O.S Call to God)

Sometimes life seems so unfair.
There are times we ask, Why?
Lord, I do know that your love is forever.
So, when you seem so all alone_
Just remember, that God answers prayer.

The answer lies in your heart, and it lies within your soul.
So, whenever you feel the need to ask, Why?
Just remember, that God answers prayer.

Our God, answers prayer, and he knows your every need.
He understands your feelings, and he knows all your needs.
So, whenever you feel_
feel like giving up sometimes,
and you feel like your back is against the wall, there's just no way out.

Just remember, our God answers prayer, and he knows your every need.
He understands your feelings, and he knows all your needs.

The answer lies in your heart, and it lies within your soul.
So, whenever you feel the need to ask, Why?
Just remember, God answers prayer.

This is an S.O.S to God (prayer)

Dear God,
This is an S.O.S call to you. This is another day I've awaken to find a heavier burden to bear.
I realize this burden is too heavy for me to bear, so I come to you in so much pain and shame.

Lord please answer this prayer.

My enemies oppress me daily, they criticize me Lord, and scandalize my name. Now, they seek to destroy me.

Lord, I have nowhere to run, and no place to hide.
I know that jealousy, hate, and wrong doings have made me a prisoner and a slave to sin.
They brought me here to this lonely and fearful place, and there is no way out for me.

I heard about a man, named Jesus, who died for me. And that the blood from his wounds, and the pain in his body, and the shame, and suffering he endured on the cross for me, was a sacrificial offering for all.

Jesus, Jesus, God, please show me your mercy Lord, show me your mercy Lord, show me your grace Lord.

Father, please let the blood that Jesus shed clean my soul, and let it free me from this prison.
Father, please remove this burden, and defend me against my enemies, that seek after my soul.
They seek to destroy me Lord. Please answer this S.O.S call.

Jesus, I thank you for the blood, that you shed for me. I can feel your love all around me.
In my heart, I know that you are here.
And I know that your angels are watching over me.

I thank you Jesus, for sacrificing your life for all.
And God, I thank you, for answering my S.O.S call.
Amen.

Persevere Despite the Challenge You Face:

Ellen J. Barrier
Author/writer/musician

Nothing comes easy. We have to learn to know how to achieve the things we desire.
To get the best out of education, we must be willing to give all we have regardless, of the sacrifices we will have to make. That might mean spending less money; eating more vegetables than meat or watching television more often than going to movies. Or it might mean that we have to plant gardens and grow our vegetables and fruit.

Whatever sacrifices it takes to reach our goals, we have to be willing to persevere.

When others poke fun and some try to discourage us, we must persevere in the face of every challenge.

If there is someone or something blocking our path to success, we must find a way to go around. We can’t allow ourselves to be defeated by standing still or running away from challenges. We must be determined to persevere, despite the challenges we face. Security comes within the vein of perseverance.  With hope in God, victories are accomplished.

Scripture:
But the LORD is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
2 Thessalonians 3:3 (King James Version Bible)

Humans Errors:

No one is above the probability to commit a wrongful act, which is why we need to pray and engage in conversations with others, offering encouragement and to believe in possibilities. We can do a lot more than we think, if we try listening to others and observing the behavior of an individual that is questionable.

If we look closely at the things noted in paragraph 3 below, in the quote, we see some symptoms of behavior that needs to be checked. This is not good behavior.

When we hear of ‘good people’ committing wrongful acts that those who knew them, would never have believed they were capable of doing – we then know that there is a probability that such things can happen to anyone.

“For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.” _Titus 3:3 (K.J.V)

It is for this purpose we shouldn’t judge others, but be ready to help friends and relatives, by encouraging them to talk about things that might be troubling them, before they become impossible to reach.

Questions:

If you knew of someone who were expressing some of the symptoms above, would you try to help them? If so, how would you approach them? How do you feel you might be able to help such an individual?
